WordPress URL Issue – Incorrect Pages Accessible
-
Hello Forum Members,
I hope this message finds you well. I’ve been encountering a perplexing issue with my WordPress website, specifically regarding URL behavior. Despite my expectation that entering a random word in the URL should lead to a 404 error, the page still opens correctly.
For instance, if I enter a URL like https://xyz.com/product-category/xgyj/exterior-stone-tiles/, it should ideally result in a 404 error since ‘xgyj’ is not a valid category. However, the page opens as if the URL were correct.
I have checked my permalinks, .htaccess file, and WordPress settings, but I can’t seem to pinpoint the source of this anomaly. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue, or does anyone have insights into how I can resolve this?
Your assistance is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.
Best regards,
