wordpress user profiles

  hi fellow forumers. i just created my new blog, and im wondering if theres a way to set up a page with user profiles. such as, i got home > about > profiles, etc. the profiles tab when you click it, would just be a bunch of boxes side by side, and page 1, 2, 3 you can click and the boxes would include their picture, a little info, and then possibly even click the box to go to their registered user on the blog. is this possible with a java script or anything? if so, could someone kindly lead me in the right direction.
