WordPress version

    I don’t see the dashboard option on my home page. Is my version too old? I had installed WP some years back and only started using it now. How can I find out what my version is?

    Hi @gaurisirur,

    if you go to updates you can see there the WordPress version you have.

    If you have installed WordPress on you own, then you have a selfhosted WordPress site and are at the wrong forum, this forum is for those people with a WordPress site hosted on WordPress.com.

    You can go for your issue to http://www.wordpress.org.

    What is the URL of the site you’re working on, and what exactly do you mean when you refer to a dashboard option?

    The “dashboard” is the colloquial term for the WordPress admin interface, and isn’t an option you’ll see visible anywhere on your site itself. On WordPress.com, you can access the admin interface by clicking on My Site that appears in the top-left corner of the screen when you’re logged in.
