wordpress version of a ‘sticky post’
-
I’d like to create a ‘sticky post’. Something that introduces my blog. I tried the suggestion in the FAQ section, by making the post a page and choosing that as my front page, but then it listed all my pages… Did I do something wrong? Or is it just not possible to have an intro message in WordPress?

To say nothing of being a total pain in the butt. The best workaround is just to use the static page (which kills SEO) or put it in a text widget at the side of the blog.
