  I am puzzled why the free version of wordpress I am using to build my first WordPress site is different from the one installed on my hosting package (with 123-reg)? The free version has many more options. The version installed by 123-reg is 4.9.8. I’m unable to find out what version the free WordPress is running. Very frustrating really. Can you help?

  Ah – I hadn’t realised any of this…. OK – read and I think understood.

  So – how can I access the functionality on the hosted system (wordpress.org?) – (e.g. under Settings there is no option to make my site private, as there is under wordpress.com -or under Customise my site, there is no option to change the Font as there is under wordpress .com). Plugins??
