You have a static front page and what looks like mostly Pages (not Posts) and the pictures Page is slow loading because of all the content on it. Search engines like quick loading sites with dynamic fresh content on the front page

I see, I’ll try to modify what you pointed out, hoping to set it in the right way! Thanks a lot

Go over the guidelines – they can be a bit intimidating to start, but go back over them a few times and it starts to make sense
Good luck with your site

I would like you to help me in my choice. I spent yesterday the whole afternoon looking for a new design for my website. The fact is that I need a static home page, like the one I have now, but I saw that other beautiful and free themes give the possibility to have widget and tags written on the same page (on the left or on the right). I need as well the possibility of showing, on the static home page under the widgets, the new entries on a spinning tape. Is there a free theme like this?
And changing theme do I have to create again categories and pages? In the preview I saw that pages are not showed as they are now.
I thank you for your precious help -

A static home page is possible on any WordPress.com theme. There are presently 359 to choose from. Most themes display widgets either situated in left or right sidebars, the footer area, or in a slide out widget area activated by a tab in the header area. Often there is a combination of sidebar or header, and footer widget areas. Tags may only be added to posts or portfolio projects. A tag cloud widget displayed in a widget area is composed of tags assigned to posts.
I need as well the possibility of showing, on the static home page under the widgets, the new entries on a spinning tape. Is there a free theme like this?
I’ve not seen a rotating menu of recent posts on any of the themes I’ve looked into or tested, but you might find something like this among the premium themes.
And changing theme do I have to create again categories and pages? In the preview I saw that pages are not showed as they are now.
No. Changing from one theme to another has no effect upon the content of posts, pages, or upon the categories assigned to posts. Different themes display default and custom menus in different places, and in various formats. They are typically displayed either in a horizontal menu bar at the bottom or top of the header area, or opened by a three-bar menu in the header area.

I forgot to mention that some themes do not display a menu by default. On such themes, if one wishes to display a menu, it is necessary to create and deploy a custom menu.
