  There were updates made on the website, the WordPress and domain needed to be linked again and the updates are lost. How do I retrieve it?

  Thank you for providing your website’s URL. It doesn’t appear that sandrainteriordesigns.co.za is hosted here at WordPress.com, but elsewhere.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on their servers, and they wouldn’t have any way to access or restore any data from that website.

  Let’s start from here. Which is the hosting company where these updates were made on a hosting plan registered with them?

  Even if they are not keeping backups of your instance (were said updates were made) you should be able to see your progress through the revision feature of WordPress. This page provides some further insight on this:

  How possible is that you have more than one hosting packages (on one or more hosting companies/accounts)? This might help to clarify the confusion further.

  In any case, getting in touch with your hosting company’s support is your best chance to retrieve access to your files, if lost.
