I am getting an error with the backend of the wordpress CMS. This is the error that i get.
‘Please modify the administrator login password’

Thanks for the response.
We actually figured what was happening. It was a major hack that was enabled by a malware. And the registration portion of wordpress. We have deactivated registering at all and cleaned the malware. The misleading thing is the editing of the /wp-admin/login.php file. That file was completely cleared of all its content and the text “Please modify the administrator login password” was the only content of wp-login.php.
So, you may be thinking it’s actually a php execution that is giving you the text output “Please modify the administrator login password” when you try to log in.
When you do a google search for this error, you will not find anything related as the only answers you’ll be getting will be the step-by-step process to change the admin password of WordPress. Even if you change the password via phpmyadmin, it will still print out the same text.The solution will be to replace the affected worpress files with an older backup or the original file. I noticed the /wp-admin/edit.php was also emptied out by the hack.
In essence, i will advise persons to ensure they have the 6$/month Imunify AV+ installed on the main server to clean any new malware that may be injected or uploaded.
