I paid for my domain in May so its not that but I had been sent a verify your contact details e mail that I hadn’t seen until today which I have now done so everything looks fine on my account except the site isn’t there.

    Hi there!

I can see your WordPress.com site when I visit hayburnplaypark.com. You have upgraded to the WordPress.com Starter plan, and your domain is verified and loading your WordPress.com site. The SSL certificate wasn’t active, but I’ve just activated it. Here’s a screenshot of the site I see:

Can you share a screenshot showing what you see when you go to your domain? Here’s how to take a screenshot:

@aisajib I’m having a similar issue. I paid, worked for a day then magically I was downgraded and my site is gone. I can’t contact support because it thinks I’m on a free plan when I clearly paid and have the credit card charge to prove it. Can you please address

@raywhite1edd882ae8 I see that you had opened another thread about this, I’ve gone ahead and responded to you there with more information 🙂

@hayburnplaypark thank you for providing that screenshot! I as well am able to access the site correctly – since this is affecting all of your devices, it sounds like you may need to try clearing your network/DNS cache. You can follow these instructions to clear your DNS cache to see if it resolves the issue: https://wordpress.com/support/how-to-clear-the-dns-cache/

Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns and we will be more than happy to assist you! 🙂

I can see that the site is back working now – now that I have upgraded to a paying plan. I wish you would just say that – rather than suspending the site just send an e mail explaining that you need people to start paying. it was nothing to do with clearing my DNS Cache.

    Thanks though.

    Hi there!

As you can see from my screenshot, I was able to view your site while you were still unable to (as shown in your screenshot).

When a domain is suspended, its nameservers are changed, and they are changed back once the domain is verified. This nameserver change can take up to 72 hours (though it usually takes a few hours). During this time, it’s normal that not all visitors accessing the site will see the domain load properly, and this is caused by DNS caching.

Especially if you already visited the domain while the nameservers were not pointing to us (due to the domain being suspended), that result is cached on your computer (and sometimes on your internet service provider’s end). That’s what results in the site loading properly in one location (mine) but not in another (yours).

Hope that clarifies things. I just wanted to point out that DNS cache does play a role here.
