WordPress website is running slowly

    Hey! I run a travel blog and recently I noticed spam was appearing on our site so I added the Wordfence plugin to blog it. I haven’t been on my site for the last few weeks but I notice that now it is very slow to load my pages. I am not sure if it has to do with this plugin or not but an suggestions on how to resolve this?

    doseofvida.com is also hosted at Bluehost.

    The forums here at WordPress.com are intended to help folks whose content is hosted at WordPress.COM. We call sites hosted anywhere but here self-hosted or sometimes WordPress.ORG There are many differences between the two. The following document will help explain some of those differences:
