  Can I import wordpress.com widgets to wordpress.org?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  and why does wordpress.org show less widgets than wordpress.com, for the same theme?

  (1) The export format file( WordPress eXtended RSS or WXR), will contain your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags – not text widget contents.

  (2) wordpress.org software functionality is is extended by the use of plugins. The new wordpress.org software install contains a basic widget package. That does not include any widgets specifically by third party providers for wordpress.com, which is a wpMU multiuser blogging platform belonging to the Automatic Inc.

  (2) wordpress.com (Automattic) has entered into agreements with third party widget providers to make specific widgets available for the wordpress.com blogs they host. These business arrangements have nothing whatsoever to do with wordpress.org.
