I wanted to leave a comment on a wordpress blog but that required being logged in, and I couldn’t remember my password so I changed it. Now when I try to log in using both the correct email and the new changed password I get a message saying that it0s the wrong information. Please help, thank you for your time.

I was trying to leave a comment on The Skeptical Ob.
http://www.skepticalob.com/2022/03/natural-mothering-a-religion-where-nature-is-god.html
Where it says Leave a Reply it says also You must be logged in to post a comment. When I try it replies Unknown email address, although that is not true.

Hi there,
The site at skepticalob.com isn’t hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source version of WordPress at another hosting provider. The login link on the comment form isn’t to log into WordPress.com, nor will it work if you enter the login credentials for a WordPress.com site there.
That login link is to log into a user account on the site itself. That user account will be completely unique to that specific site only.
I don’t see any option to sign up for an account on that site, and none of the recent posts have comments, so I’m guessing the site owner might have changed a setting at some point, either deliberately to prevent people from commenting, or else unintentionally, not realising that the change in settings would prevent this.
Either way, only the owner of that site has the ability to either invite you as a user to the site, or else change the settings to remove this requirement for commenting. As the site isn’t hosted on our servers we don’t have any access to or control over it, and we also don’t have any information about the site owner aside from what appears publicly on their site, so we’re not able to help in this case.
