WordPress won't let me get a free domain
-
When I tried to get a domain, it opens up checkout and says ‘$18’ instead of ‘$18 – $0’. It still required card details, I just clicked create a free site. It keeps doing the thing on every account I have but it says that you can get a domain for free. Why it isn’t working, why do I need to still pay like I already own a domain and now I want new one? I can’t make a website now and I don’t want the annoying default domain. It also doesn’t show me ‘First year free’ but instead of that it needs credit card requirements. I will never make websites on the broken WordPress again.
The answer is: It is fake. WordPress never give free domains. So I decided to make a topic about fake advertisements for free domains that are actually paid.
Second answer: It may be only for people to visit website creator. But they all leave right on clicking on the ad. They see free that are paid domains. They all try to get them but they have got trapped. Fake ads. Paid website creator with default domain only. All the advertisements and other things are FAKE.

If you don’t want to pay then a subdomain address ending in .wordpress.com is your only option. You should be able to edit the original offering to one with less numbers/more to your liking with a little experimentation before clicking through.
It clearly says that a custom domain can be registered for free for the first year along with an annual paid plan. In year two you’d pay to renew the plan and also pay the cost of renewing the custom domain. You can also purchase a custom domain for $18 if you wished to subscribe to a monthly plan but that would cost even more in the long run.
