WordPress won’t let me sign in using e-mail. I have to use a link. HELP

    I despise g-mail. It’s just a matter of time that they decide I can’t sign into my e-mail, and if that happens I will lose my site. So can someone tell me how I can get wordpress to let me use my e-mail instead of using a link? It’s never let me sign in, i always had to use the link.
