WordPress won’t show pix from my picasa webalbum

  Hi!

  Got a strange problem. My wordpress won’t show my pix from my picasa webalbum. When i’m writing my post I can see the pix. But once it’s published me and my readers can’t see a thing.

  The webalbum is public. I copy and paste the pictures url from the album by clicking rigth and the the copy pic-url.

  If this isn’t clear, please let me know. Any help is much apprechiated.
  My apologies for bad gramma and spelling – i’m in a hurry.

  Your page does show the images. It just takes an awful long to load, because you get the combined delay of all those linked pages loading, so if you have a slow connection this might seem linke never.

  Least thing you must do is reduce the number of posts per page to only two or three (in Settings > Reading). But the best thing would be uploading the images in your blog instead of linking to picassa.

  Hi

  I’ve reduced the number of posts from 10 to 5 – it doesn’t helt. Explorer gives me red crosses, and firefox shows the broken link symbol.

  I have a 10 MB connection – so speed is not a problem. I have also tried to wait for 2-3 minutes, but nothing pops up.

  But thanks for the help anyway.

  Yes you’re right – sorry for the wrong diagnosis. I had tried the URLs of some of your images to make sure they are ok, and then they showed up in the blog page too. Now that I tested again I saw that upon refreshing they’de be gone again: it was as if the browser had to be tought the way to the source every time. Never seen that. I copied the code of your latest post (and the code is quite ok), made an identical post in my test blog, and got the same problem. And a few minutes ago I got an oops-something-wrong-in-our-serves message from WP. After that my post and your blog became ok. So it was probably a problem on WP’s end.

  Sorry to keep bothering you, but my blog still won’t show the images…Is there a way I can contact the wordpress staff – or is it a to isolatet problem for them to care about?

  You’re not bothering anyone – the forum is for helping one another. And staff will normally respond to any problem we volunteers cannot solve, isolated or not.

  You get to the Support main page from your dashboard: under “Help” (top right), or under “My Account” (top left), or directly (bottom). There you’ll find the “Contact Support” tab.
