WordPress wp-admin fail

  • Unknown's avatar

I bought a domain, and hosting both from namecheap and bought also the ‘X’ Theme from wordpress. I followed a tutorial step by step on how to install wordpress in cPanel namecheap hosting. I get a congratulations confirmation with the Admin URL : http://www.mindmediaco.com/wp-admin/. This fails to open a page though, as well as if I try ‘.com/wp-login.php’ at the end.

I am really confused and would like to start building and designing my website. Here in my wordpress account I found on the bottom the add site, so I choose ‘website’, a random design and then since I already have a domain I put in the domain: http://www.mindmediaco.com and I get registered with the free plan with mindmediaco.wordpress.com. Absolutely not what I want!

How to fix this? How can I get redirected to the right site when hitting the admin url. I would like to delete this domain mindmediaco.wordpress.com but wasn´t sure if my whole domain will get deleted as well then!

    Thanks

    Hello!

That looks like a WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

WordPress.org has complete documentation and support at: https://wordpress.org/support/

Try contacting your site’s host (Namecheap), they may be able to help you with this.

    Hope that helps!
