WordPress xml file import won't finish

Tried to import a data file from my self-hosted WordPress site into my wordpress.com-hosted site. It’s been showing the message “We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed” for days now.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have reset your importer for you. You can try your import again at any time.
If you continue to have trouble with this, please let me know what kind of export file you have (.xml or other?), where your blog was before, and how large the file is.

Everything seems to be fine now. This is the second time I’ve had this problem with the importer tool.
If it may be of any help, I’m trying to import a WXR .xml file generated by the export tool on my self-hosted WordPress blog (v. 3.9.1 – http://www.ichca.ufal.br/graduacao/biblioteconomia/v1/). The file itself is 7,30MB.

Sometimes the import times out before it finishes, often due to a slow connection. Resetting it usually fixes the issue.
Please let me know if you need further assistance with this.
