wordpress xmlrpc.php protection with nginx

    Hi there, I wish to protect my xmlrpc.php from being brutal force attack

    I had added this link in my nginx 

    location ~ /xmlrpc.php {
                if ($http_user_agent !~* "jetpack") {
                        return 403;
                }
        }

    But the result , I wasn’t able to edit any post from wordpress.com through jetpack plugin

    any help?

    Hi there,

    It’s not possible to to modify sites hosted here at WordPress.com in that manner.

    According to staff, Brute Force login attack prevention is automatically enabled and active for all sites hosted on WordPress.com.

    If you need help modifying a self-hosted site that uses software from WordPress.org, please try posting your question in the WordPress.org support forums and/or contact your host.
