WordPress… you just lost a frequent user (because of adds)

I’ve always used wordpress to create websites.
Inclusive I teach other people to use wordpress to create websites because it is the one with most professional look… or should I say… until now.
Today, all my websites were flooded with adds… and really annoying, everywhere. So, definitely I’m not gonna use wordpress anymore.
There are other free services that also offer the possibility of making great websites without this kind of adds…
Again, I have to say… a long time that I use wordpress and it’s the first time that I see this adds… Sorry for your decision to start including them.Bye.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sounds like you have a browser issue – do all the “flood” have a link “about these ads”? – all of the ads from WordPress.COM have that link – also I think they only run one ad per page.
try turning off the add in’s and malware on your browser – turn them back on one at a time until you find the one that gives you the ads.
If you post a link to the REAL site you are having trouble with someone can take a look at it for you

Hi Sergio,
the only advertisement from WordPress.com you should be encountering is the one below your posts.
Anything else other than that is a problem on your end.

WordPres.com has been displaying ads on our blogs since 2006. All WordPress.com placed ads are easy to identify as this link accompanies them http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/
Any other ads you see are not placed on the blog by WordPress.com. They are coming from a browser extension or toolbar. These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads: http://www.littletechiethings.com/2012/06/how-to-remove-ads-not-by-this-site.html http://blog.wikimedia.org/2012/05/14/ads-on-wikipedia-your-computer-infected-malware/ http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/09/14/bloggers-beware-of-adware/
If you use the information at the sites I linked to and still see ads please post screenshot http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ Upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it. Then type modlook into the sidebar.

Had the same problem, along with double-underlined colored text that brought up even more ads. Got rid of all the malware by following the instructions here:
Browser Redirect Virus – Undo Shady Changes and Stop Redirects
A wonderful website!

Sorry, I just can’t get excited over this when the OP’s site’s last post on his WordPress.com site was in 2008.
Also makes me a little suspicious. And indeed the link here is not the WPcom one, but the one on its own domain which is an adult site.
Tagged for Staff to remove the offending link.
