  how do i change my url? i own sitename.ca and want the url to be this not sitenameca.wordpress.com.

  If you want to use your own domain here, only you have to do is mapping your own domain to your WordPress site. However, please be aware that you need to have a paid plan for domain mapping. Step-by-step instructions are here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
