wordpress.com and supported sites not displaying correct format

  Hi there,
  For the past few months, wordpress.com, and all of the wordpress supported blogs (mine included) have not been displaying properly (on and off). Graphics, links, photos, etc. seem to be organized in something that looks almost like html format to me. I know nothing about programming, please forgive my poor description. I’ve tried using different devices, different browsers and all have the same problem. Please help.

  Hi Alison – it sounds like the CSS isn’t loading on WordPress.com for you. This issue sometimes happens when an overly aggressive setting is configured on a network (usually a school or corporate office). The Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) get stripped from the page load and the site contents show without any styling. Can you check and see if you have this problem when you connect with a different ISP – for example, if you’re at work, try loading WordPress.com at home, and vice versa.

  Can you please try loading these three URLs and let me know what you see?

  http://s1.wp.com/
  http://s2.wp.com/

  Also, we’ve had a number of users having trouble loading WordPress.com because of an issue with certain ISPs. We’re looking into this. I don’t know that this is the cause of your problem, as no one has mentioned CSS being stipped in particular, but you might glance through this thread to see if it sounds relevant.

  Hi there, Thank you so much for your reply! I’m sorry about my delay in getting back to you. When I click on those links, they all say ‘Server not found’.

  I’d also like to mention that when I connect through a different ISP, my blog and wordpress.com appears correctly.

  Any other suggestions would be Very much appreciated. Thanks so much!

  Hi Alison,

  In that case, it sounds like your ISP might be blocking WordPress.com for some reason. Can you please contact them about this? Who is your ISP and what’s your geographical location (city, country)? Thanks!
