WordPress.com and WordPress.org switch?
-
I own another business and use wordpress.org. I had no clue until now that there was a difference between the two sites. I accidentally signed up my new business on wordpress.com. How can I switch to wordpress.org with same domain?? I am so unfamiliar with this platform, and I enjoy the features on wordpress.org – especially the Yoast for SEO tools. If I can’t switch, does wordpress.com have Yoast for SEO? Plugins seem limited compared to wordpress.org. Help!

. I accidentally signed up my new business on wordpress.com. How can I switch to wordpress.org with same domain?
What is the domain URL please?
Exactly which username account purchased the upgrade?
Exactly which underlying .wordpress.COM blog was the upgrade purchased for?
WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
Provided you are logged in under the exact same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Note these two locations please:
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/Dashboard > Store > Billing History
https://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/Note that when we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you so the domain URL will not be lost.
From the support docs: How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. You cannot upload and run the Yoast SEO plugin or any other blogger installed plugins on a site hosted by wordpress.COM. For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.
