WordPress.com App for Windows Feature Request
-
I just checked this on my own computer, and it looks like it opens in tablet mode initially, but if you set it to another mode subsequent preview will load in the other mode.
I agree that this would be a worthwhile enhancement, so I’ll make sure it’s reported to the team responsible. Thanks :)

Thanks.
That worked until I closed the app or it crashed. On reopening, it is in Tablet Mode. I hope for the change.
I have a few more request, but have to go out now.

Feature Request #3
Change: Use Theme CSS in the Edit Mode
I have modified my [Twenty Sixteen] theme and would like to have a true WYSIWYG editor.
Benefit: Negates the need to preview. The author sees text, pictures, slideshows, as they will show.
e.g., I use a white background and border versus the dark of my theme. I use smaller size font in my title and I center it.
I’m loving the editor and can love it more [with a few mods].
Thanks!
Jim
P.S. I still have a few more, but want to submit the individually for clarity.

This is actually quite complicated from a coding perspective, and would involve completely rewriting the editor, so it’s unlikely, but I completely understand the appeal.
Still, I’ll add the suggestion to the list, thanks :)

Not many people use the excerpt feature, as very few themes display excerpts, but I understand why you think it might be an improvement.

I understand. I did not until Twenty Sixteen. I just think it is not well placed. Changing its place can still allow for null content.
Thanks!

I used both “strong” switches. For some reason, the HTML was processed differently. I think the content is clear.

Use the correct slash and HTML is processed properly…

This is part of the issue that all aspects of the stats page is not yet fully responsive for mobile devices. At the moment the Android and iOS apps are being developed separately from the new dashboard and desktop app, but the plan is to eventually have a more universal interface across devices, so we’re working on this already. But these are quite significant changes, so please understand if it takes a little time.

That’s a good point, the app not having a refresh option like a browser. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve reported it as well.
