WordPress.com blog but I want to upgrade, unsure and a bit nervous.

  Hi, I have a domain name through 1&1.com, called ‘wahlumpai.us.’

  I also have a blog through you guys, called, ‘wahlumpai.wordpress.com.’

  What do I need to do to convert my wahlumpai.wordpress.com site to ‘wahlumpai.us?’

  I want to use my blog with you guys BUT with a new domain name. I am nervous because if I mess up, it’s my boss’s site, so I might have an early funeral. ;)

  Hi there,

  No worries at all! All you have to do is go to your domain registrar’s site (1&1.com) and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:

  • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Then, you can add the domain mapping upgrade to that site.
