wordpress.com Business Plan Queries
-
Hi,
We are an online community running on self-hosted wordpress. We are considering to move to wordpress.com Business Plan. We have following questions,– Does wordpress.com allow multiple users (most of our users are not member of wordpress.com) What is the procedure to import users to wordpress.com? We wanna do some tests before moving.
– What are the limitations of wordpress business plans? For example, following,
storage limit
number of blogs
latex support
What are the workaround for the wordpress plugins on wordpress.com?
etc
Is there a limit of database? Our database is around 4 GB.
Can you provide support such as migrating our old blog?Thank you and have a great day.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
– You can add multiple users to a site, but each user will need to create a WordPress.com account before you’ll be able to invite them. You invite a user via My Site ->People ->Add
Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers
– The Business Plan comes with unlimited media storage (there’s no limit on posts and pages on any sites, regardless of plan), but it applies to only one site. All WordPress.com upgrades are per-site only.
– LaTeX is supported on all WordPress.com sites regardless of plan.
– It’s impossible to address plugin workarounds without knowing exactly which plugins you want to use and what they do. Plugins cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites, so if a feature is not built in already, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to use it.
– There is no limit on the database, but you don’t have any direct access to the database or any of the PHP, HTML or CSS files of your site, and it’s not possible to directly upload your database to WordPress.com. You’ll only be able to import your content in the form of a WordPress .XML export file.
We (support) are happy to help you with the process of importing your content and helping you set up your site, but we cannot migrate your site for you. We can tell you what to do, and assist if something doesn’t work as expected, but WordPress.com is intended as a do-it-yourself hosting platform that’s not as technically demanding as self-hosted WordPress.
If you’d prefer to pay someone to do it for you, you can search for people who do paid work on WordPress.com sites here:
