WordPress.com Desktop editor lacks OS X contextual menu support

  The text editor in WordPress.com v1.0.0 Desktop app for OS X does not support the standard OS X contextual menu invoked by control-clicking (alternatively right-clicking or two-finger tapping) on a text selection.

  OS X interactive spell-checking, symbol and text substitutions, etc., that are available in the web editor are not available in this ostensibly native app.

  Any news about this?

  This is an incredible app if you have several blogs, but we need spell-checking :)

  Agree, this is the one thing I really miss when using the desktop app (no spell check). If it’s too hard to allow the OS X contextual menu, then adding a spell check button would be an OK fix.
