WordPress.com documentation in French?

I would like to send links to the French documentation to French-speaking users, but I can’t find a French translation of the WordPress.com documentation. When I replace “en” with “fr” in the following URL, it redirects me back to https://en.support.wordpress.com/. Is there a workaround for this, or is there no French documentation?

It is a long term goal for us to have all documentation in multiple languages, at the moment we do not have that, I’m afraid.

staff-ozmodiar I’m a senior tech writer with 20 years of experience running documentation projects. If you give me the tools to do so, I’ll be glad to set up the project and recruit a team of native French-speaking volunteers to create/revise the content. What do you think?

This is Naoko from Team Global. We have been working on translating WordPress.com and our other services. As Josh said, offering an official French documentation site (fr.support.wordpress.com) is one of our long-term goals but we currently don’t have a definite timeline for this.I understand having documentation links to refer to is really useful while helping others on the forums. Some of our forum volunteers create their own blog to explain something they are asked often, but not covered in our support site. I understand this isn’t what you are asking for, but seems to be the best solution at the moment.
Thank you for offering your help, and we’re sorry that we’re not ready for that yet. I appreciate your feedback on how your experience has been as a French-speaking user.
