WordPress.com domain pointing to different host?

  Hi,

  I purchased hosting on Pressable and I bought the domain through wordpress.COM. Since I can’t transfer my domain I was told I can map (?) my domain to Pressable for hosting? I tried this but it won’t let me use wordpress.ORG’s CMS to build the site and keeps trying to make me use wordpress.COM (no plugins, can’t upload my own theme, no CSS, etc.).

  I thought I put the correct pointing into wordpress.COM to Pressable (used the info Pressable told me to put, they have 5 but there was only space for 4) to use the domain I bought. I did put the custom domain server links into the domain I bought, but it’s acting like wordpress.COM is still hosting but they shouldn’t be.

  I hope this make sense. I’ve confused myself.

  you are not able to map with wordpress.org if you bought a domain on a wordpress.com, they are two independent sources. so if you need widgets and want to map to a .org style you will need to purchase a .org
