WordPress.com domain to Godaddy hosting
-
I purchased domain at wordpress.com and hosting at godaddy.
I put correct nameservers i got from godaddy to wordpress dns manager. But website still doesnt work.Godaddy support says that the only thing i can do is to transfer domain to them. They say that ip host set at wordpress.com is wrong and there is no way to change it, since WordPress.com does not permit mapping by setting an A record to point to an IP address. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
I have almost 60 days before i am allowed to make this transfer anyway, so i really dont want to wait that long. Is transferring the only option?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Lets let the staff take a shot at this – I have flagged this for them to help
For some reason Godaddy seems to have issues like this in the forum, most hosts just take name server settings, me I would find a new host

Thank you
I never experienced problems with godaddy previously, so i thought it would work. I hope they find a solution.

Just to check, did you follow the instructions listed here under “Setting Nameservers for a Domain Name Registered Elsewhere and Hosted with Us”:
http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/664/setting-nameservers-for-your-domain-names

I did follow the instructions.
Actually godaddy support confirmed that the nameservers are correct. However they said that i had to transfer domain to them anyway in order to make the website work. No way im going to do that.
I think WordPress.com should post a caution somewhere so other clients would not waste money trying to make godaddy hosting work with WP domain.
Thank you all -
