WordPress.com Email Forwarding Issue

My domain is mapped from my account on Register. I am currently getting this message when I’m in ’email’ for ‘Domain Management’ for this specific domain:

This domain currently has custom mail servers defined in its DNS settings. This means that WordPress.com Email Forwarding is not available for this domain, and that you should manage your email with your email provider.
The email servers for this domain are:
inbound.registeredsite.com.

How do I go about getting WordPress email forwarding? I just changed (within this last hour) my DNS settings on Register to this:NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMWill it take time for my new DNS settings to shift the email forwarding from Register to WordPress? Or do I need to do more to get email for this domain working with WordPress?

Request your registrar to remove the existing email server configuration from your domain. Once they do this, WordPress.com should stop complaining and let you configure email forwarding.

Thank you. I called Register and they told me I could delete the MX that I currently had with them and they said that the email server with you guys should kick in once my new DNS server (which has already been just changed today) is settled into the system.
Is this correct or do I need to do something further more to get the email set up? I don’t know what’s going on with my account or my domain, please help.

There is no email server with WordPress.com. So nothing kicks in automatically.
You will have to configure email address using the instructions mentioned in this support document: https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/
You pick an email provider of you preference (Google, Microsoft , Zohoetc.) and follow the instructions specific to that provider.
