WordPress.com hacked, leaked email addresses

  Since some days I get filthy and deceptive spam. The email addesses are those associated with my blog and are exclusively used on this site and nowhere else. Obviously, you got hacked. Is there any offical statement of you about that? What can I do? What do you do to prevent this in the future?

  Hello Gemma. Thanks for your answer.

  So this is what happened:
  There are 3 email adresses, which are joined with my blog, one is the blog owner, the other two are authors. These addresses are exclusive, they are only used in conjunction with the blog, only wordpress.com and I know them. My PC is clean (as far as I can see…). They are hosted by my provider, who seems quite reliable, and they were the only ones out of many more, which were affected.
  About tuesday, I got 3 emails addressed to the blog owner. They had the typical spam headers and subjects (“get money by…”, “action required…”). I surely didn’t open them, but deleted them quickly. I also changed my settings to only download message headers.
  On saturday, 3 messages arrived, 2 for the owner and one for an author. They looked alike and I deleted them quickly, so I can’t send you an example. In fact, to forward you one I would have to open it, and I surely never do that, that’s a bad idea, sorry. I can only send you a copy of the message header, if I receive more of them.
  Since then, I have checked my PC. I will also send an inquiry to my provider to make sure it’s not his fault. In my understanding, only wordpress.com remains as possible “leaker”. Have you an other idea?
