wordpress.com homepage, JS error, IE7/Vista

    Hi all,

Just flagging this up as what looks like another IE7 problem…

I’ve just visited http://wordpress.com/ (in IE7 running on Windows Vista 32-bit SP 1). It’s a clean install, first time I’ve visited wordpress.com since I reinstalled. When I click many of the links on the homepage — for example, the headline link on the “Hawt Post” — I get a Javascript error:

A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug?

    Line: 135
    Error: ‘i’ is undefined

    and the navigation fails.

It seems to occur on the links on the left side of the homepage, which all appear to link to blog posts. So I’m assuming there’s maybe a bug in some tracking code somewhere?

Works fine in Firefox by the way.

We don’t have this reported elsewhere so it’s going to be hard to help.

Is there still a setting in the browser or internet options where you can turn off such warnings? There was in XP so I’m assuming so.
Turning that warning off does not in any way affect the browser or security.

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for your reply.

I’m sure it is possible to turn off that warning without affecting the browser or security. Unfortunately it’s not possible to turn it off without making it harder for me to do my job :-) I’m a web developer and so I kind of need to see errors like that.

It doesn’t affect me terribly badly, on a personal level — I can use firefox or just not visit wordpress.com at all — but I thought you might be interested to know that it was showing up. If there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know.
