wordpress.com – hosting at Bluehost questions
-
Hi!
I have bought hosting at Bluehost and now want to point my blog over there. Today I have changed the nameservers as well.
This is where I am seriously confuddled.
I want to have advertising on my blog. I also want to be able to customise it to exactly what I want.Do I do this within Bluehost, or do I need to move to the wordpress.org?
how exactly do I do what I want to do?!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Now that you have your own self-hosted WordPress(.org) blog, that’s where you want to log in (using the login info that is sent to you – this is separate from your WordPress.com user information) and edit.
If you need to move your contents from WP.com blog to your new blog, please visit this guide:

naokomc has provided you with the link to instructions for exporting your blog content out of your wordpress.com blog and importing them into your wordpress.org install. The XML export file will contain your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags. Once you’ve saved the XML download file to your desktop, you can use the Import function on the wordpress.org install to import it.Your links (blogroll) must be separately exported out of your wordpress.com blog and imported into your new wordpress.org install. Please see here for instructions. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/import-export-links/
I think it’s helpful to read the information at the following links before making your move. This is because you will have to upload your theme to your wordpress.org install before you import the data.
