  I have my own domain name that I purchased. I want to know if I purchase the $8 wordpress option will the ‘wordpress.com’ be in my domain when it is searched?

  Hi there,

  There is no $8 upgrade on WordPress.com, aside from the domain privacy upgrade that you can only buy if you also register a domain with us.

  To connect a domain you already own, you will need the domain mapping upgrade that is included in the Premium and Business plans:
