WordPress.com is down

For the past two weeks wordpress.com has been down. I’ve checked my computer, my friend has checked his on his blog here in Cambodia and it still remains down. I asked friends in New Zealand to check theirs and it has been down also. Are anyone else having these problems? And is this related to twitter? Because twitter has been down too.
I think wordpress should have informed its users about these problems.

When you say down, what URL isn’t working and what happens. WordPress and twitter are both very much up.

I’m accessing the website okay enough but it only gives me very basic HTML. Why then can’t friends open their blogs in New Zealand, China and me here in Cambodia? The blogs are not fully downloading. it only gives a very basic view without the pictures and broken links.

Well China is a challenging one since WordPress is said to be blocked.
It could be browser related or your own internet provider (since you said twitter is down too, are other sites working).

Sounds like an ISP issue – many times an overseas ISP will do something strange with blog access –
what ISP are you using? How are you connecting to the internet?
Just WordPress.COM blogs or internet issues in general –
What are the SPECIFIC blogs you are having trouble accessing?
Could you test these links and let us know if you can access them? What you should see is a bunch of text (CSS actually). If you can access some, but not all, let us know which you cannot access.

My access to my two blogs and friends wordpress blogs here in Cambodia haven’t been loading well, and as for twitter it doesn’t load at all. Other than that everything else is fine, google, facebook, and other sites load well.
My friends twitter is NZ haven’t been loading too. Apparently there was a twitter issue in the USA concerning a News Channel and the white house. I was wondering if its related to security issues.
I thought it was an IP problem too, I’ll ask friends with other ISP to check and see what happens.

But.. The other countries they mentioned are not blocked..
In New Zealand, wordpress.COM is not blocked at all….
Could it be an ISP issue? I am not that sure…. It is possible but somehow I doubt it if they can access the forums on here and other things….

Obviously I annoyed someone on here. I can’t answer the questions fast enough because this current page takes time to load with broken links.

If the links I gave are not loading – that is the css that provides the formatting & looks of your blog – I would have a chat with your ISP and see if they accidentally are blocking those addresses – no CSS gives you a very plain text only blog
