wordpress.com is marked as private by its owner

Hi!
I have an old site, essentially an archive for the first Mini Maker Faire run in Australia, which resides here: http://makerfairemelbourne.wordpress.com.
I accessed that site earlier today and saw the site as it has been since the event was run in Jan 2012. However, the site is now showing as “Private”, and all the content from the site appears to have vanished. I logged in and reset the reading settings to public, but that was when I noticed that it was back to a default site and all the blog posts and content had vanished. I resrt the read attribute to private until I could get guidance on what had happened.
I am the main site administrator, and I haven’t logged on for many months. In fact, the first time I have logged on in many months was after the site problem occurred. I couldn’t see any immediately obvious activity that indicated a super user had deleted anything.
In checking the forums, I found this:

My questions:
– Is this some general WordPress.com site glitch?
– What options are available to recover the site? Thanks,
Paul

oops! My bad – the problem was 1) the incorrect entering of the site name 2) a trial site residing on wordpress.com under the “incorrect” name.
Please delete this question (if I can’t figure out how to …)

Hi Paul,
No worries, things like this happen all the time. I’ll just mark this as closed.
Hope you have a great week!
