WordPress.com needs shopify for its e-commerce?

  Hello!
  I have a blog on wordpress.com and an e-commerce on Shopify. I would like to have only one website, preferably my blog which can also do e-commerce. I have read that I need to go to the Business package. However, will the e-commerce on WordPress.com be as effective as the one I have on Shopify? After I had set up the eCommerce on WordPress.com, can I stop the one on Shopify?

  I’ve not used the e-commerce features myself, but based on what I’ve read, I believe the business upgrade actually lets you integrate your existing Shopify account into your WordPress site.

  Based on what I’ve read there, the effectiveness of the two shops should be exactly the same (or the WordPress one would be better because it has the extra support of your blog content). You would have to maintain your Shopify account however since your merchandise would still actually “live” there.
