WordPress.com not allowing me to comment without logging in/gravatar
-
I deleted a blog on wordpress.com, but now if I want to comment on a wordpress.com blog, it will not allow me to comment without logging into my gravatar or wordpress.com account. I have a gravatar, but it does not allow me to publish the comment and keeps saying that I need to log into my gravatar account. My gravatar account is set up to link to my current blog, and I cant seem to change any settings to make this work.
Please let me know what I need to do. I even tried changing the email address associated with wordpress.com/gravatar, but it does not work.

Hi there,
In order to comment using an email that’s tied to a WordPress.com or Gravatar account, you’ll need to first sign into WordPress.com with that account.
You can sign into WordPress.com with your Gravatar credentials. If you need to retrieve your username and reset your password, try entering your email address here:

Right, the issue is if I try to sign in with my gravatar account, I get an error telling me my email address is associated with a gravatar/wp.com account, and to sign in with that… when its the same thing.

Where exactly are you trying to sign in? Can you walk me through the exact steps you’re taking?
As a first step, you might try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies:

It seems multiple people are having the same issue, from what I’ve heard.
I’m trying to leave comments on wordpress.com blogs. I started out not signed into anything, and when I go to comment, and my gravatar info pops up, after clicking “send” to add the comment, I get an error telling me about my email address being associated, etc. And no matter that my gravatar login is correct, it forces me essentially to sign in with wordpress.com.

Please try signing into http://wordpress.com with your Gravatar account before you try posting a comment.
