WordPress.Com Not Communicating with Blogs

I’m trying to manage my various wordpress sites via wordpress.com and it does not seem to be able to communicate beyond SEEING the sites and seeing comments. Nothing that I try to do from wordpress.com works. It kicks out errors on everything and I have no idea why and can’t find any solutions. It just tells me it can’t do it without any notes about what to do other than make sure jetpack is current, and it is.
