wordpress.com not sending confirmation mail for new account

  Greetings,

  I’ve set up a new wordpress.com account for a new client (to be used with JetPack on WP). I did not receive a confirmation email to complete the account set-up. I have made no less than a dozen ‘resend confirmation email’ attempts over the last 3-4 days…and none of them arrives.

  I am unable to list papamaks.com as the ‘Blog URL’ in this support request, because as far as wordpress.com is concerned…that wordpress site does not exist. It doesn’t exist, because I’m not being sent the confirmation email to make it exist. A chicken and egg dilemma.

  This is not a spam/junk folder issue. I’ve administrated email servers for 23+ years and admin the mail server for papamaks.com. My mail server logs show there haven’t even been any attempts from wordpress.com or anywhere else to deliver an email to (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  How can I get the papamaks wordpress.com account activated?

  Same has happened with me. They arent sending me my confirmation email or even my change of email address for that matter.

  Are there no people at or affiliated with wordpress.com who can respond to this? The issue of confirmation mails not being sent seems to be somewhat common.

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com received error messages when trying to deliver the confirmation email to that account. I just sent an email to that email address to help confirm the account — if you don’t receive that email, either, please let me know.

  I did not receive you email, Rachel. What sort of error messages are you receiving? I do not see any mail attempts from wordpress.com in my server logs nor do I see any delivery attempts to the mail address I used to create the papamaks WP account.
