WordPress.com or Web Hosting?

I have a question about web hosting and hoping that I can get some help. I just had a WordPress Premium account and just cancelled the Premium because I’m interested in my blog being with Bluehost. I’m wanting to do it this way so I can have BlogHer ads on my page. Does anyone know if BlogHer ads can be put on a WordPress Premium account or do I have to have my blog with a web host? From what I understand, having ads on a page can bring in a little bit of money. I’m still learning all this and would appreciate any help. Thanks!

You can’t put ads on a Premium account – no upgrade short of the VIP upgrade (starting around $20,000/year) will allow your own ads
You can apply for WordAds if you have a custom domain name and see if you are accepted – note that for any ad system to pay off you need a lot of traffic (some have said many thousands per month) and you need significant traffic to be accepted into WordAds
