WordPress.com payments: Update credit card form not functioning

    I wanted to change the credit card used for payment information. I deleted the existing payment method, but cannot add a new one. The Edit Credit Card Details page does not function. The page simply shows an empty form where none of the fields are editable. This is not on my site’s content, it’s on the wordpress.com site.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.     To address any and all billing issues we can click https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ and we can also use this form (which works even when the main contact form is closed): http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?whywasi=charged

    Note: Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products too likes Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to a the registered email address for each username account so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you.

    Thanks, but I do believe this is a wordpress.COM issue.

    The credit card payment that I am trying to resolve is for the purchase of domain mapping, which is charged to wordpress.com. I already made one payment for this service and was charged by wordpress.com

    The URL where the problem occurs is wordpress.com (see the OP)

    I reached this URL by clicking the “Manage Purchases” tab on my wordpress.com account.

    I’ve tried the support pages that you linked. If there is a way to contact a human, it is well-hidden.

    My issue is that the web form seems to be broken. It is definitely a software bug. The page I linked in the OP simply doesn’t work. I can’t click the form or any buttons. They are just grey rectangles that do not respond.

    Hi @monztech,

    I am having the same issue as the screenshot you provided when accessing that page myself.
    Have you tried updating your credit card from the wp-admin dashboard?

    Let me know if that works and in the meantime, I’ll look into this error and see what is going on.

    You link takes me to the page where I have have to problem. From the destination in your link, if I press “Edit Payment Method” it takes me to the nonfunctioning form.

    I suspect the problem is related to the fact that I deleted the original payment method and now there is no payment method to edit.

    Hi there,

    Hmmmm….so the link is not leading your to your wp-admin dashboard? If not, all you would need to do is go to Store > My Upgrades from your dashboard, and click on the Update Credit Card link. Unlike the other page, this page was able to load for me.

    There is no Update Credit Card link for me.

    Store -> My Upgrades takes me to https://wordpress.com/purchases

    That is the same page where I only have a Domain Mapping.

    I am on a free plan but paying for Domain mapping. That may be why what I am seeing is different from what you describe.
