WordPress.com reader and self hosted instances

    Hello there,

I am wondering, how subscribton for the particular tag works in wordpress.com reader? Is it only based on tags or both, tags and categories? Are self hosted instances treated any differently from wordpress.com ones? Is there ranking system that filtering out posts from appearing in the reader tag stream?

The reason why I am asking is because I do not think that my posts appear in the tag subscription streams – when I search by tags I just do not see my post there.
Is there anything that may stop my post being searchable on wordpress.com reader?

    Best Regards,

    Hi Max,

Only blog posts from WordPress.com blogs will appear on the tag pages in the Reader. Posts from self-hosted blogs won’t appear there. However, WordPress.com users can still follow your blog and see your new posts on the main Reader page (along with other blogs they follow).

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Thank you very much Rachel for confirmation. It is a bit frastrating that self hosted blogs kind of discreminated in such way, but at least I know for sure that this is what is expected.

    Cheers,
    Max
