  How can you decide how many words from my blog posts are shown on the WP.com Reader? I’ve checked http://en.support.wordpress.com/reader/ and couldn’t find my answer.

  Do you insert “the more tag” into each post?

  The excerpts in the Reader are 55 words as far as I can tell

  I’ve followed the advice shown on that support doc on my last few posts and I’ve had to delete the “More” tag because it deletes the rest of the post when I publish it. Do you know why this happens?

  I thought if I waited you would go to your test blog and put up the same theme and work out your own answer. Hooray! You resolved this.
