WordPress.com reports "Error fetching plugins on "
-
On my wordpress site, the admin panel reminds me to “connect to wordpress.com” for automatic updates. This is not a “wordpress.org” problem; the error is reported on wordpress.com (fwiw: I read similar posts on both .com and .org — and the replies were short and implied the problem was better suited to ask on the other site..)

You failed to provide the URL of the site you refer to. We require it order to be able to assist you so post it now please.

Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.
Note that as Jetpack is a plugin used by WordPress.ORG bloggers to achieve parity with what we already have built into WordPress.COM blogs, and we do not provide Jetpack support on these wordpress.COM support forums you can direct these with other Jetpack issues to where you can get Jetpack support.
re: Jetpack support
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service

Here’s an image of the error, clearly showing it’s a wordpress.com url
but I get the general f-u attitude. Thanks anyway…
Have a great new year. Try to get some patience & reserve the shitty attitude until you have all the information… of course, you may already know everything…

I don’t have an attitude issue and I don’t tolerate any abuse https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-forums-community-standards?replies=1
I asked for the URL and the image provides it as http://jassing.com/
This is a Jetpack issue and I will glad mark thread for Staff intervention.

@jassing
Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com. That error you are seeing is caused by the Jetpack plugin not working correctly. We do not provide support for self-hosted sites or for Jetpack in this forum.@timethief has given you the links and detailed instructions how to contact Jetpack support. That is the correct place to get help with this problem.
