WordPress.com site is redirecting somehow?

    Hello,

My name is James Pfleiderer and my company was recently hired to redesign the website for MEJDI. When we started with them, they had this WordPress.com website and the domain name mejdi.net. They used to have the domain’s DNS servers configured to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, and NS3.WORDPRESS.COM.

Since then I have pointed mejdi.net to redirect to their new domain and website at mejditours.com.

There are some pages on the old WordPress.com site that I need to reference, but mejdi.wordpress.com is still somehow redirecting to the new site and I cannot figure out how it’s doing so. I can get into the Dashboard on WordPress.com but any front-end URL redirects to mejdi.net, which is then redirected to mejditours.com.

They don’t have the Site Redirect option purchased, as far as I can tell. At least, that option is still available for purchase in the store, and I can’t find any options for it in the Dashboard, so I assume they haven’t purchased it. I can’t find anywhere or any settings that set the wordpress.com site to point to a different domain. How is mejdi.wordpress.com still redirecting to mejditours.com?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • James,

How is mejdi.wordpress.com still redirecting to mejditours.com?

This was due to a glitch in our system which was incorrectly causing the redirect. I have removed the glitched domain mapping record though, so things should work as expected now.

The old WordPress.com site is here: http://mejdi.wordpress.com/

And the new site is here: http://www.mejditours.com/

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with. :) Thanks!
