wordpress.com site with custom domain – now hosted on bluehost, the site still redirects to wp.com
-
I’ve moved my custom url and blog to bluehost, the registrar released the url and the dns servers are all updated but when I try to log in via wordpress to my new site (at the same url as before but now hosted outside of wordpress.com) it links me back to wordpress.com. I can’t get to the url, it always redirects to myoldsite.wordpress.com.
-
Sorry, the question is if there is some easy way to change it so it stops pointing to wordpress.com? For a few hours today it was working properly, then it regressed when I linked the new account to jetpack so I could use my wordpress.com login for the new wordpress.org site. Any help about where I need to go to start resolving this would be very much appreciated.

What is the actual URTL of the domain?
What is the underlying.wordpress.com URL?
Which username account registered the underlying.wordpress.com URL and purchased the domain mapping upgrade for the site? -
-
It is thefoodjew.com, redirecting to thefoodjewdotcom.wordpress.com. I thought my account registered the domain mapping, but it’s possible it was my colleague.

Hi @laurenk70, actually I’m seeing your new bluehost site, though it does look like it’s missing some style information.
If your computer still sees the WordPress.com site, it needs to “forget” that it was pointed here. You might try shutting your computer off (regular shutdown procedure) and turning it back on again. If that _still_ doesn’t work, you might try contacting your ISP to see if the old settings are stuck on their end.
I hope that helps!

@supernovia, thanks for your response, I’m now able to see the site as well, but I get an error redirect when trying to log into wordpress using thefoodjew.com/wp-admin, and the site is no longer on my wordpress.com login, I think I may be stuck in a jetpack loop, is it possible to check if you can disconnect jetpack from my blog from wordpress.com? Or can I delete jetpack from my cpanel to resolve it?
Thank you! -
@supernovia, Nevermind, thank you, I’ve got it resolved. No need to disconnect jetpack. Thanks again for the help!
