WordPress.com stats messed up (No title on file)

  Hi there,

  I have my own WordPress (Self hosted) but before you post “Go to WordPress.org” hear me out. I use the WordPress.com Stats plugin, but the service itself is provided by WordPress.com.

  What’s happened is I changed the permalinks on my blog and since then all my WordPress stat information has become screwed up. Live data now is fine, but anything that was within the past 7 days, month, year and all time is all messed up. The title of any post can no longer be displayed and simply says “no title on file” as well as the link to the post being something generic like http://stats.wordpress.com/?p=156 rather than the correct URL on my blog. Though the page views are still displayed.

  Is there any way to fix this issue and get back the correct post titles etc?

  Oh – you are not going to like completely my suggestion.

  I would still ask over at WordPress.ORG since you changed the permalinks and that is a common change over there.

  The other is to contact the staff here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ as us unpaid volunteers don’t have access to nor any reason to worry about the behind the scenes working of the stats package.

  THanks for that. It’s necessary to clarify, but unfortunately we can’t give you any perspective on this, as our URLs don’t change. Ever. Staff will be able to help you.

  The wordpress.com blog stats plugin in supported here, but you will have to contact staff directly since none of the volunteers here know much about it (stats are automatic for us here).

  If you do not have a blog here then log out of wordpress and go to that link and select “I don’t have a blog” and then you can contact them.
