WordPress.com stats plug in

  I am having difficulty setting up the wordpress.com stats plug-in. I get the following error when I try to install the correct one.

  The owner of that API Key (jeffocal) is not on the access list for this blog. When this blog was registered, imagineers’s API key was used. To add you to the access list, imagineers must visit this blog’s stats dashboard page and use the form at the bottom of that page.

  I registered the blog under the user imagineers however I log into my wordpress dash board using the jeffocal user name. Could some please explain to me the difference between these two user names and how I can get an api key that will active the wordpress.com stats plug in

  I think you have a self-hosted blog since we don’t use plug-ins here. Head over to http://wordpress.org/support
