WordPress.com stats stopped working

I installed the plug-in, got my worldpress.com account. Stats worked for a couple days then stopped. Hyper-linked message says I need to connect my blog to worlpress.com or disable the plugin. When i click on the link, nothing happens. I’m not sure what “connect my blog to worldpress.com” means.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I know that. I used the API key. I signed up with WorldPress.com and got the key. That’s how I was able to install the plug-in. Please explain the phrase “connect your blog to WordPress.com”.

Try deactivating and deleting the plugin via the Plugins section of your Dashboard.
Deleting the plugin via this section is vital to clearing the settings.
Once you’ve done that, reinstall the plugin and try again.
